Historical flag of the Navy of the Republic of Texas. Flown during conflicts with Mexico on Texas Naval vessels for a little over a decade until the Texas Navy merged with the US Navy in 1846. Similar to the design of the Liberian flag of Africa, with the Texas Naval flag having a larger star and 13 stripes rather than the 11 on the Liberian flag.
