Pine Tree alternate design, used in New England and specifically Massachusetts, for many years leading up to the Revolutionary War. "Pine Tree Flag" is a broad descriptor of many flags, such as the Bunker Hill and Washington's Cruisers flag, with colonial use between years 1686 to 1776. In 1776 this pine tree variant was adopted as the ensign of the Massachusetts Navy.
Thanks for the quality and ability to obtain this particular flag.
Our family arrived in the New World in 1625. Much to do with early maritime culture and the founding of this country, especially in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
