The flag of the Canary Islands consists of three vertical stripes; white, blue and yellow. The Canary Islands is one of 17 autonomous communities of Spain. The state flag has the Coat of arms centered on the middle stripe. The designs were made official by the Statute of Autonomy of the Canarian Autonomous Community in 1982
