About the Come Out You Cuckold Flag

Originally carried by Horatio Cary’s Royalist military unit during the English Civil War in the 1600s, the Come Out You Cuckold flag can be identified by its distinctive red and gold colors, and particularly by the image of a small animal (perhaps a fox or a dog) in a barrel alongside the words “Come Out You Cuckold.” The flag was originally crafted to taunt and make fun of the Earl of Essex, a general in the Parliamentarian army who had earned a reputation as a cuckold due to his marital problems.
