Custom Double-Sided Motorcycle Flag
Most printed flags show correctly with your logo at front and design shows in reverse. Our custom motorcycle flags are built differently. A 3-panel construction — printed front, printed back, light-blocking center layer — meaning your artwork reads correctly from both sides, no matter which direction you're rolling.
These flags are made in the USA using all-weather fabric, printed in full color, and built for the wind and road vibration that comes with riding. Whether you're representing your club, your country, or your own design, this is the right flag for the job.
Size & Mounting Options
We offer two sizes and two attachment styles. Choose the combination that fits your bike and your hardware — and note your preference in the order notes field at checkout.
8×12"
The compact option — a good fit for smaller mounting setups, sissy bars, or when you want something that stays tight at highway speeds. Popular with riders who want a flag that doesn't overpower the bike.
12×18"
More visual presence — this size makes a statement in a parade or at a rally. Works well on larger cruisers and touring bikes with dedicated flag mounts.
Attachment Style
Rod Pocket + Inset Anchor Grommet
The standard motorcycle option. A 3/8" sleeve slides over your flag rod, and an inset anchor grommet near the hem keeps the flag secured to your hardware. This is the right choice for many motorcycle flag mounts. Rod not included — see our aluminum motorcycle flag rod if you need one.
Standard Header & Grommets
Traditional flag attachment — two grommets along the left edge, no sleeve. Choose this if you're mounting to a standard flag pole or a non-motorcycle setup. Specify this option in your order notes.
Specify your attachment preference in the order notes at checkout. If you don't specify, we'll default to the rod pocket and inset anchor grommet option — the standard motorcycle configuration.
Why 3-Panel Construction Matters
A standard single-layer printed flag shows your design on one side and a mirror image — or a washed-out ghost — on the other. That's fine for a flagpole where one side faces out. On a motorcycle, both sides are visible.
Our 3-panel double-sided flags solve this with three distinct layers sewn together:
- Printed front panel — full color, reads correctly
- Light-blocking center layer — prevents bleed-through between the two printed panels
- Printed back panel — full color design, reading correctly
The result is a flag that looks intentional from every angle — not like a printed napkin held up to a light.
Artwork & the Ordering Process
Here's what happens after you place your order:
- Upload your artwork file at checkout, or email it to [email protected].
- Our team prepares a digital proof and sends it to you by email.
- You review the proof, request any changes, and approve it.
- Production begins after approval — 10–15 business days from that date.
- Your flag ships to you.
Production time is 10–15 business days from the date of artwork approval — not from the date of your order. The faster your proof comes back approved, the sooner your flag goes into production. If you have a firm need date, please contact us before ordering to ensure we can accommodate your timeline.
Accepted file formats: SVG, AI, EPS, PNG, JPG, GIF. Vector files (SVG, AI, EPS) give us the most to work with and tend to produce the sharpest results. If you're submitting a raster file (PNG, JPG), higher resolution is better. See our full artwork requirements for specs and guidance.
Complete Your Setup
The mounting rod for your flag — sized to fit the 3/8" sleeve on this flag. If you're starting fresh or replacing a damaged rod, this is the one to order alongside your custom flag.
Want a stock flag alongside your custom one? Our American motorcycle flag is built to the same double-sided standard and fits the same hardware. A natural pairing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my artwork look the same on both sides?
Yes — that's the point of 3-panel construction. Each side has its own printed panel with a light-blocking layer in between, so your design reads correctly from both directions. It's not a mirror image on the back; it's a full second print of your artwork.
What's the difference between the 8×12" and 12×18"?
Size and visual presence. The 8×12" is the more common choice for everyday riding — it stays manageable at speed and works well on most mounting setups. The 12×18" is larger and better suited for rallies, parades, or bikes with heavier-duty flag mounts where you want the flag to be seen from a distance.
Can I get grommets instead of a sleeve?
Yes. Just note "standard header and grommets" in the order notes at checkout. The default is the rod pocket with inset anchor grommet — the standard motorcycle configuration. If you don't specify, that's what you'll receive.
Is the mounting rod included?
No — the flag ships without a rod. If you need one, our aluminum motorcycle flag rod is sized to fit the 3/8" sleeve on this flag and is available to add to your order.
What file formats do you accept?
We accept SVG, AI, EPS, PNG, JPG, and GIF files. Vector formats (SVG, AI, EPS) are preferred for the sharpest output. See our artwork requirements page for full specs.
Can I make changes after I place my order?
Yes — the proof stage is your opportunity to review and request revisions before anything goes to print. No production begins until you've approved the proof, so that's the right time to catch anything that needs adjusting.
How long does production take?
10–15 business days from the date you approve your proof. If you have a firm need date, contact us before ordering to ensure we can accommodate your timeline.
Questions Before You Order?
Custom orders involve more variables than a stock product — sizing, artwork, attachment style, timeline. If you're not sure what you need, reach out before you order and we'll help you get it right the first time.
