Outdoor Flag of Acadiana (Louisiana Cajun)
Flag designed in 1965 to represent the newly recognized Southern Louisiana region of Acadiana and officially adopted in 1972 by the State of Louisiana as a regional flag. Acadiana, commonly called Cajun Country, evolved as the name of the Louisiana region inhabited heavily by descendants of the French diaspora from the original Acadia Region (modern day Maine and New Brunswick).
