Ordered the aluminum, and was awed by the quality and beauty of this marker. It has replaced the previous plain and ugly one we used for our local county veterans graves. It comes with a sturdy rod, and is a bit higher priced than those that are not as sharp looking, but IMO, worth the price point difference. Made in the USA too, if I am not mistaken. win/win
