China

Colombia

Columbia  separated from Gran Columbia in 1830.

Democratic Republic of Congo

In 1960, the Democratic Republic of Congo  declared independence from Belgium.

Egypt

The kingdom of Egypt  was established in 3200 BCE. Modern Egypt declared independence from the United Kingdom in 1952.

Ethiopia

The kingdom of Ethiopia  was established around 980 BCE.

France

The French flag  was designed around 1790.

Germany

In 1990, East and West Germany  rejoined to create a unified state.

Ghana

Ghana  earned its independence from Great Britain in 1957.

India

Indian  culture began in approximately 1500 BCE.
