 The flag of the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent) was the result of an international conference which met in Geneva, Switzerland in 1863 with the goal of improving medical care of soldiers in war. In Muslim countries, a red crescent symbol is used instead of a red cross. |
