A free public event will be held at Gettysburg Flag Works to raise money and awareness for Patriot Hills of New York.
East Greenbush, New York, September 7, 2010 -- Gettysburg Flag Works will be honoring veterans and raising funds for Patriot Hills of NY on Saturday, September 25, 2010. This free event will be open to the public and include a flagpole dedication ceremony, free BBQ, art and music.
The objective of Patriot Hills is to provide direct and effective support to returning veterans and their families, in a customized facility that provides necessary services and enables them to reconnect, transition, reintegrate and receive therapeutic healing. The event will run from 10am to 4pm at Gettysburg Flag Works. The address is 715 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY, 12061.
Visitors can enjoy new, original artwork by James Staley and watch a live mural painting by local youth which will be raffled with proceeds going to Patriot Hills. Gettysburg Flag Works will also be donating a portion of the day's retail proceeds to the organization. Volunteers from Patriot Hills will be on site to answer questions and share their vision.
