Kudos to Gettysburg Flag Works

The 11th Ward Veterans Memorial Committee would like to thank the following individuals and groups for their support of a neighborhood grant proposal to install a new flag pole at the site of the WWII 11th Ward Veterans Monument located on Third Street between Adams and Jefferson streets in Troy. The success of this effort would not have been possible without the help of the City of Troy Mayor’s Office, City Council, City Clerk’s Office, City Engineer Russ Reeves, Gettysburg Flag Works, Robert Reiter of the Rensselaer County Veteran’s Office for the POW Flag, Rich Welch for delivering the flag pole, Mike Brinkman, Jim O’Brien, Jim Rivers, and Matt Trexler for installing the pole, Bonded Concrete for donating the concrete for the project, and Caprara’s Auto Body for supplies. Everyone involved worked together to have the pole installed in time for this past Memorial Day. We invite family and friends of the veterans who’s names are inscribed on the monument, as well as neighbors, to visit the monument to see the new pole. It was an honor for the committee to have this opportunity to pay tribute to this group of veterans who unselfishly served our country so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. God Bless America. 	The green and gold banner seen in the background of this group of people was not only printed by Gettysburg Flag Works but it was also designed here by Cheryl Rings. Click on the picture to see a larger version.
	The City of Troy, NY was host to Senator Hillary Clinton. This story talks about a section of the city now known as "little Italy". We did the banners for the event and had a hand in the design as well. Click on the picture to see a larger version.
